V I T I C U L T U R E
Un-irrigated bushvines, planted in 1954. These bushvines were selected for their uniqueness and prominent terroir flavours. Vineyards were monitored meticulously by the winemaker, the latter ultimately deciding when the grapes would be harvested.
W I N E M A K I N G
Grapes were fermented in 4,5 tonne open-top fermentors with 4 – 6 punch downs daily. 10% of the wines was aged in older 225L French oak barrels, while the rest was kept in stainless steel tanks.
T A S T I N G N O T E
Aromas of cherry, red berry, white pepper and some spicy notes on the nose. Savoury-, spice- and fruit flavours complimented by freshness and subtle oaking on the palate. An irresistible, well-balanced red wine with bright, ruby-red hues.
